With happy....
We have a festive atmosphere back home. Every vacation we have like this. These were the rare auspicious occasions we are getting 3 or 4 times in a year. Now I can hear the melodious voice of Hari, the instructions of Sreekutty and the dances of Paru. First Hari he is only 2 years of age all the time wandering here and there with a big lemon or a balloon in hand calling it a ball. Paru dancing, jumping and moving like a shadow behind Hari. Sreekutty she is now little big studying 6th standard like to watch television whole the time. It is easy for her to watch 2-3 films in a stretch. Bad Sree, really bad. Hari nowadays interested in drawing pictures. It is nice to watch him drawing with his left fingers. Ha he is a left hander. Paru the silly girl jumping, running, and trembling hairs make the climate cool. Now I can feel the change in atmosphere. But after 2-3 days they will go. And then again we have to back to our past………….

Jerry's programs
Great news from Jerry. I have talked to him last week. He is now in an ashram at Kodakara, Thrissur. Treating his stomach pain with ayurvedic medicines from the monks of the ashram. I remember he have severe problems with stomach when he was at my home last September. He is worrying very much on that. As per him it’s a by birth problem. His father and sister have the same problem. But in
Work work.... still going on
Today I am assigned a new project. I have to read and understand what the system is. It is not so easy to catch all the possibilities in a single stretch. So after looking on a 15 or a 20 minute I take a break. Wandering in the office or drinking some water. Now my memories back to Banglore where I have worked 16-20 hours in a stretch without food. I think the curiosity make the man work. How much he is curious on the work, that much result he can expect. After the success or completion of a particular task we can feel the confidence or the satisfaction in other ways. It’s amazing. Many enjoy such rare situations, eating costly food with friends or with drinks depend on what makes them more fun. I came across like situations. I remember the first time we got a mysql database connection in the web server. Me and Mathews we were totally ignorant on web server and our boss asked us to put the php files onto the server and make the database connection working. We spent about one and half days for that. At last we got the result. Now I am thinking on what a simple thing it was. But on that precious day we feel like we invented something new for the company. We can’t explain our expressions on that situation. We received motivational talks and congrats from our PM though he was rude towards us most of the times. This gives the strength to work, make new technologies, thinking of all possibilities etc.

On My Participation In The Atom Bomb Project - by A. Einstein
My participation in the production of the atom bomb consisted in a single act: I signed a letter to President Roosevelt. This letter stressed the necessity of large scale experimentation to ascertain the possibility of producing an atom bomb.
I was well aware of the dreadful danger for all mankind, if these experiments would succeed. But the probability that the Germans might work on that very problem with good chance of success prompted me to take that step. I did not see any other way out, although I always was a convinced pacifist. To kill in war time, it seems to me, is in no ways better than common murder.
As long however, as nations are ready to abolish war by common action and to solve their conflicts in a peaceful way on a legal basis. they feel compelled to prepare for war. They feel moreover compelled to prepare the most abominable means, in order not to be left behind in the general armaments race. Such procedure leads inevitable to war, which, in turn, under todays conditions, spells universal destruction.
Under such circumstances there is no hope in combating the production of specific weapons or means of destruction. Only radical abolition of war and of danger of war can help. Toward this goal one should strive; in fact nobody should allow himself to be forced into actions contrary to this goal. This is a harsh demand for anyone who is aware of his social inter-relatedness; but it can be followed.
Gandhi, the greatest political genius of our time has shown the way, and has demonstrated the sacrifices man is willing to bring if only he has found the right way. His work for the liberation of India is a living example that man's will, sustained by an indomitable conviction is stronger than apparently invincible material power.

Nitya Chaitanya Yati
Nitya Chaitanya Yati (Nithya Chaithanya Yati) (2 November 1923 - May 14 1999) was an Indian philosopher.
He was born in Kerala, India, as the first son to Pandalam Raghava Panicker, a poet. After completing matriculation (the equivalent of today's high school education), Yati toured exstensively over what is now India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, befriending and subjecting himself to different religious figures.
He returned to Kerala in 1947 and joined University College, Aluva to study Philosophy and Psychology. He later taught these subjects in different universities.
In 1951, he accepted Nataraja Guru as his spiritual preceptor and after Nataraja Guru died, Yati became the Head of Narayana Gurukula. As Narayana Gurukula is a world community, Yati had to liaison between all members of the Gurukula at an interpersonal level in the teacher-student context and to make the Gurukula work in unison.
Nitya Chaitanya Yati published over 120 books in Malayalam and 80 books in English, as well as a number of articles on philosophy, psychology, social ethics and aesthetics. He was the founder-chairperson of the East-West University of Brahmavidya. He also worked as the Commissioner for World Education and as a sponsor of the World Government of World Citizens. World citizenship is a unique concept that Yati tried to give life to, in his own words:
- "The term 'world citizen' can be better understood with a negative definition than with a positive one. If a citizen of a state with political frontiers is expected to pay allegiance to the government of the state to which he or she belongs and is expected to take arms against aliens who might invade the territory of the state, a world citizen recognizes the entire world as one's state and in principle does not recognize any member of one's own species as an alien to the world community to which oneself belongs. Such a person recognizes the earth as one's sustaining mother, the innate inviolable laws of nature as one's protecting father, all sentient beings as one's homes. The world citizen's allegiance is to the foundation of truth, the universality of knowledge and the fundamental ground of all values."
In later days, he spent his time in an 'Ashram' (hermitage) in Ooty, in Tamil Nadu, India.

The Potato Garden
Dear Son,
I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't be able to plant my potato garden this year. I hate to miss doing the garden, because your mother always loved planting time. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. If you were here, all my troubles would be over.I know you would dig the plot for me, if you weren't in prison. Love, Dad
Shortly, the old man received this telegram: For Heaven's sake, Dad,don't dig up the garden!! That's where I buried the GUNS!!
At 4a.m. the next morning, a dozen police officers showed up and dug up the entire garden without finding any guns. Confused, the old man wrote another note to his son telling him what happened, and asked him what to do next.
His son's reply was: "Go ahead and plant your potatoes, Dad.. It's the best I could do for you from here."
Moral:
NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE IN THE WORLD, IF YOU HAVE DECIDED TO DO SOMETHING DEEP FROM YOUR HEART YOU CAN DO IT. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE THOUGHT THAT MATTERS...

Useful tips from Wendy
1) Take a “Time Out” - Prolonged stress can wear us down and zap any enthusiasm we once had. Before doing anything else, take a few minutes to breathe and just BE. Empty your mind of all stress and worry. This takes practice, but don’t give up! As thoughts come into your mind, gently push them back out and continue to keep your mind empty and calm. Take slow, deep breaths and let all of your muscles relax. Sit quietly and recharge your batteries. Try to do this daily, or even twice daily (morning and night). We need quiet time as much as we need anything else in life. Give yourself the gift of inner peace.
2) Get Inspired - Read something motivational, inspirational or uplifting. Look at some beautiful nature photos, or read something humorous. Consciously move your thoughts to a more positive place. Focusing on nothing but work and our daily tasks in life can leave us feeling pretty uninspired. It’s easy to turn it around if we want to. We just have to seek out things that will lift our spirits and our moods. Make it a point to laugh, be happy, joyful and lighthearted each day. Don’t wait for inspiration to come knocking on your door, go out and find it, or create it. Conjure up some funny or touching memories. Write them in a journal so you can go back and read them when you’re feeling down.
3) Get Excited - Think about the things you have planned for the day, and rekindle the enthusiasm you once felt for them. When we first begin a new project, or start a new job, we are excited about the possibilities and eager to get moving! Over time, we can lose that enthusiasm for a variety of reasons. Travel back in time for a moment, and think about what got you so excited at the beginning. What made your heart beat a little faster? Recapture that feeling and hang onto it! Even if your tasks aren’t anything to be really excited about, at least think of some positive benefits to doing them. For example, list the ways they will benefit your children, your spouse, yourself, your job or your home. Identify the payoff, and focus on that. Even mundane tasks have some benefits. Sometimes it’s just a matter of switching our mindset to see the positive side.
4) Baby Steps - Sometimes the hardest part is actually getting started. A project seems so monstrous that we cringe at the thought of all that time and energy we’ll have to expend. Instead of overwhelming yourself, start small. Set a timer for 15 minutes and just start working on it. Allow yourself to stop after 15 minutes if you really want to. But most often, once we actually start working on something, we won’t want to stop. Don’t focus on the big picture, look at the smaller details and take them on one at a time. Any large task seems manageable once we break it down into smaller steps.
5) Care of the Body - Sometimes our feelings of fatigue are caused by physical deficiencies, not mental. Be sure you are getting enough rest, eating food that nourishes your body, drinking enough water, getting enough exercise, etc. Especially when we’re very busy, we tend to grab the quickest, easiest meals, which aren’t always the best choice for our bodies. Eating a lot of highly processed foods and sugar is like putting watered-down gasoline into our cars. In order for our cars to run smoothly, we need to maintain them properly, and so it is with our bodies also. Remember, the body is the vehicle for the mind and soul! Finally, remember to reward yourself from time to time, and be gentle with yourself! There will always be things that “need” to be done. But some of us take on way more than we can handle, and our lives turn into a pit of drudgery because of it. Try to eliminate the things that truly don’t bring you joy, or at least minimize the time you spend on them. Do what you can, and let the rest go. Or ask for help. Don’t feel you have to do everything yourself.
Remember that motivation, just like happiness, is something we CHOOSE. We may need to give ourselves a little push at the beginning, but once we get into the right mindset, it’s simple to stay there if we choose to.

Kirlian photography

A photographic process that captures the auras or biofields of persons or objects within the photograph. The technique involves the photographing of subjects in the pressence of a high-frequency, high-voltage, low-amperage-electrical field, which display glowing, multicolored emanations known as auras or biofields.
The process of Kirlian photography is named after Seymon Kirlian, an amateur inventor and electrician of Krasnodar, Russia, who pioneered the first efforts on the process in the early 1940s. Even thought the process has produced results it still is controversial.
There seems to be no evidence that Kirlian photography is a paranormal phenomenon. Some experimenters think it reveals a physical form of psychic energy. Another theory is that it reveals the etheric body, one of the layers of the aura thought to permeate all animate objects. The understanding of this latter aspect of the process gives rise to the prospects of beneficial benefits of gaining significant insights in medicine, psychology, psychic healing, psi, and dowsing. Critics repudiate the process by saying that it shows nothing more that than electricity being discharged which can be produced under certain conditions.
Experiments in photographing objects in electrical fields, prior to Kirlian, was called "electrography" or "electrographic photography." Little value was seen in the process, so scant attention was given to it. Electrographic photographs were exhibited as early as 1898 by the Russian Yakov Narkevich Yokdo (also given as Todko. Research in the fields was published by a Czech, B. Narvratil, also in the early 1900s. The published evidence of photographs of leaves coronas was presents by two Czechs, S. Pratt and J. Schlemmer, in 1939.
The initial Kirlian experiments were simple. In his first experiment Kirlian just photographed his hand, noting a strange orange glow radiating from the fingertips. His wife Valentina was a biologist, and together they photographed both animate and inanimate objects. Over the years, they refined their equipment and graduated from back and white to colored photography.
The principle of Kirlian photography, as well as all electrography, is the corona discharge phenomenon, that takes place when an electrically grounded object discharges sparks between itself and an electrode generating the electrical field. When these sparks are captured on film they give the appearance of coronas of light. These discharges can be affected by temperature, moisture, pressure, or other environmental factors. Several Kirlian techniques have been developed, but the basic ones generally employ a Tesla coil connected to a metal plate. The process is similar to the one which occurs in nature, when electrical conditions in the atmosphere produce luminescences, auras, such as St. Elmo's fire.

Lyrics - Still I'm sad
Gently passing they kiss your tears when you cry
See the wind the summer blow your hair upon your head
See the rain, the falling rain, it's great
Still I'm sad
All my sounds my tears just fall into days
They are driving the night will find they are lost
Now I found the wind is blowing time into my heart
When the wind blows hard we are apart
Still I'm sad

Spiritual journeys
Kali @ Kattil Bhagavathy temple.
Siva @ Thirumuppam Mahadevar temple
Devi @ Kodungallur Bhagavathy temple
Rama @ Triprayar Sri Rama temple
Krishna @ Guruvayoor temple.
I feel the difference in worships and prayers at these temples. Imagining the lords keeping looking on to me and smiling making the liberation of physical streams changed to the act of supreme power. Yes, standing in front of the deity with utmost concentration gives us a new positive energy that makes us think and act for the remaining life. If you want constant happiness choose spiritual journeys, rather than finding temporary gains in the materialistic life.
In our return journey we have refreshment at Nattika beach in Thrissur district. A cool and quite beach where the famous Malayalam film Chemmeen which bags the Presidents Gold medal award once portrayed.

Wish you all a very happy Deepavali

Wishing you all a happy and prosperous Deepavali.
I remember my last year’s Deepavali celebrations at Bangalore. We have a fine time there. I remember the city was entirely covered with full blooming lights and crackers. One of that festival days Ninan got placement at Strategy Solutions. I remember my friends they eager to pass their diwali wishes.
One more year passed. And I am now sitting in front of my computer. While working busy in office I can hear the sound of crackers. But don’t know about the source. I checked, but it’s hard for me to find the source.
Legends behind Deepavali
Return of Shri Ram Chandra to Ayodhyaa
The most famous legend behind the celebrations of diwali is about the prince of Ayodhya Nagri, Lord Shri Ram Chandra. The story goes like the king of Lanka, Ravan kidnapped Ram Chandra's wife, Sita from the jungle where they were staying as per the instructions of King Dashratha, father of Ram Chandra. Then Ram Chandra attacked Lanka and killed Ravan and released Sita from imprisonment. He returned to Ayodhyaa with his wife Sita and younger brother Lakshamana after fourteen years. Therefore the people of Ayodhyaa decorated their homes as well as the city of Ayodhyaa by lighting tiny diyas all over in order to welcome their beloved prince Shri Ram Chandra and Devi Sita.
Incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi
On the auspicious new moon day, which is 'Amavasyaa' of the Hindi month of Kartik the Goddess of wealth and prosperity, Lakshmi was incarnated. She appeared during the churning of the ocean, which is known as 'Samudra Manthan', by the demons on one side and 'Devataas' on the other side. Therefore the worship of Goddess Lakshmi, the Lakshmi Pujan, on the day of Divali became a tradition.
Lord Krishna Destroyed Demon Narakasur
One famous story behind the celebrations of Diwali is about the demon king Narakasur who was ruler of Pragjyotishpur, a province to the South of Nepal. During a war he defeated Lord Indra and snatched away the magnificent earrings of Mother Goddess Aditi who was not only the ruler of Suraloka but also a relative of Lord Krishna's wife, Satyabhama. Narakasur also imprisoned sixteen thousand daughters of Gods and saints in his harem. With the support of Lord Krishna Satyabhama defeated Narakasur and released all the women from his harem and also restored the magnificent earrings of Mother Goddess Aditi.
The Return of the Pandavas
The great Hindu epic 'Mahabharata' has another interesting story related to the 'Kartik Amavasyaa'. The story reads that 'the Pandavas', the five brothers Yudhishthhira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula and Sahdeva, were sentenced thirteen years banishment as a result of their defeat against 'the Kauravas', Duryodhana and his ninety nine brothers, at the game of dice. Therefore they spent thirteen years in the jungles and returned to their kingdom on the day of 'Kartik Amavasyaa'. On their return the people of their kingdom welcomed the Pandavas by celebrating the event by lighting the earthen lamps all over in their city.
Coronation of King Vikramaditya
Another legend or story about diwali celebrations relates to one of the greatest Hindu King Vikramaditya. It was the day when he was coroneted and the people celebrated this event by lighting tiny earthen 'diyas'.

Earth song - Lyrics
What about rain
What about all the things
That you said we were to gain.. .
What about killing fields
Is there a time
What about all the things
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the blood we've shed before
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores?
Aaaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaaah
What have we done to the world
Look what we've done
What about all the peace
That you pledge your only son...
What about flowering fields
Is there a time
What about all the dreams
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the children dead from war
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores
Aaaaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaaaah
I used to dream
I used to glance beyond the stars
Now I don't know where we are
Although I know we've drifted far
Aaaaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaaaaah
Aaaaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaaaaah
Hey, what about yesterday
(What about us)
What about the seas
(What about us)
The heavens are falling down
(What about us)
I can't even breathe
(What about us)
What about the bleeding Earth
(What about us)
Can't we feel its wounds
(What about us)
What about nature's worth
(ooo,ooo)
It's our planet's womb
(What about us)
What about animals
(What about it)
We've turned kingdoms to dust
(What about us)
What about elephants
(What about us)
Have we lost their trust
(What about us)
What about crying whales
(What about us)
We're ravaging the seas
(What about us)
What about forest trails
(ooo, ooo)
Burnt despite our pleas
(What about us)
What about the holy land
(What about it)
Torn apart by creed
(What about us)
What about the common man
(What about us)
Can't we set him free
(What about us)
What about children dying
(What about us)
Can't you hear them cry
(What about us)
Where did we go wrong
(ooo, ooo)
Someone tell me why
(What about us)
What about babies
(What about it)
What about the days
(What about us)
What about all their joy
(What about us)
What about the man
(What about us)
What about the crying man
(What about us)
What about Abraham
(What was us)
What about death again
(ooo, ooo)
Do we give a damn

Caesar and Cleoparta

Now its third time I am reading the drama Caser and Cleopatra by Bernard Shaw. I have a copy of the book that I bought for my English classes at St.Alberts College. I remember Prof.Paul Elish,my favorite English teacher have studied us the drama, with high quality English and powerful voice. Reading now I can feel the high pitched voice of Caesar through Elish Sir. I suggest all of you must read the book. Really interesting and good English.

Me @ Mitacs
First day itself I started in a different manner. Me and Felix sir went outside in his car and he asked me to buy 2 kg sugar and 100g coffee. I bought it. Cool!.
My mates Varun – 26 year old with loads of humor, Joseph – he said he is 41 years old, I surprised really he looks around 32, Robin I don’t know his age, still he looks above 30, again Jessy chechi, I think she is above 40. All are kind and loveable in character. They are working in the call service and support systems.
My work timings at mitacs were from morning 11 ‘O’ clock to 8 or 8.30 in the night. Now I am comfort with the timings. Saturday and Sunday holiday for me.

Still it's raining
Today is two different things were happening in front of me. First one is the happy news of the engagement of my dear friend Milesh. Milesh, really sorry I can’t attend your engagement because I have to work here, it’s my last official day and also expecting some bugs from my boss. Milesh is my classmate and best friend. From 5th standard to bachelor’s degree we studied together. He took Msc.Chemistry and now employed in Biocon, Bangalore. The interesting thing is that he got his companion from Jeevansathi.com. In our Bangalore days he has the hobby of registering his profile with a number of wedding sites. When he receives calls from any girl’s parents in return it is simple for him to say that he can’t think for a marriage now, because he is going for his doctorate in the US. At last the same web helped him to get his life partner. What a change? Thanks to Jeevansathi.com for making Milesh an ideal bridegroom.
Today is raining a lot. Is the rain a good or a bad sign? I don’t know. Some times it is good and another time the same rain makes the hard destructions. Today it’s really sad for me to say good bye to my colleagues and my friends. Different kind of pain. I think each and every person has the same kind of feeling to say good bye on such circumstances. The feeling remains in mind till making a good attachment with the new environment. Only 2 months I have worked with Gratia. Really a pleasant and silent atmosphere wonderful for meditation too. Of course I have not much worked here . Only in the first, one and half months of course I had worked hard. After that I spent most my times for making my blog better and chatting with miss whom I have to advising for her good future though she is improving from a very bad circumstance. I wrote in blog whatever I feel or what my mind said to me at times. In this short time span I have made new really great memorable friendships. First Milan sir he is great in his character. Of course I have made a mental relationship with him that makes me more pained that am I doing any don’ts to him? Again Anoop, Deepa, Givi, and Vinod all my work mates really kind in character and co-operative too. Suresh chettan with his pleasant smile, George chettans comedies, Kiran the nice boy and the other security I forget to ask his name all I met and introduced were well loveable too. May god bless you all with his incessant power. I am sure that i can always keep my memories up to date.
May I stop here?

A valuable journey
According to him malayalees are so wise and doing good in India and abroad. Now we can't see poverty in Kerala. Of course the state is much developed in knowledge spectrum, and money is flowing everywhere. While hearing him I sneered several times, though it’s common now days for me, suddenly he acted like a doctor by suggesting medicines, really joking. He advised me to apply Vicks or amritanjan inside the nose. For him that is the best medicine. Suddenly he changed his mind. It’s not wise to use English medicines but use ayurvedic medicines. One medicine he suggested is Thumba (a small plant earlier common in our grounds have very good medicinal values). While applying its oil he said our eyes become reddish in color, entammo. So some may lose consciousness and go for English medicine. But for him such circumstances English medicine is the savior. Still money is the problem; we have to pay much on different kinds of tests. While in the intervals he didn’t forget to ask me “Njan salyamayillallo”. I saw the peoples start laughing. So again I asked questions. Later we discussed fare stage problem existing in NH-17. Then he talked about his kind of work. He is a mason by profession, and he is of course a skilled worker but he can't earn much. I imagined, that may be his problem. As per he, when he has 200 bugs somebody asks for a 100 bugs he will suddenly give them. Though he is a drunkard I find the truth in his mind. So I don't feel any discomfort in talking.
At last I get off from the bus I didn’t forget to pass my warm regards. He responded to my words in a different mood that he hasn’t met me before and I found he is too tired to talk. May because he lost a good company or the alcohol started working on his body.

Enya - Orinoco flow (Lyrics)
Let me reach, let me beach on the shores of tripoli.
Let me sail, let me sail, let me crash upon your shore,
Let me reach, let me beach far beyond the yellow sea.
From bissau to palau - in the shade of avalon,
From fiji to tiree and the isles of ebony,
From peru to cebu hear the power of babylon,
From bali to cali - far beneath the coral sea.
From the north to the south, ebudae into khartoum,
From the deep sea of clouds to the island of the moon,
Carry me on the waves to the lands I’ve never been,
Carry me on the waves to the lands I’ve never seen.
We can sail, we can sail...
We can steer, we can near with rob dickins at the wheel,
We can sigh, say goodbye ross and his dependencies
We can sail, we can sail...

An ideal marriage ceremony of Jose and Jesna
St.Mary's church was the venue of the marriage. A nice and old parish with great architecture and a wonderful sight for eyes. we have to stay there in front of the parish for some time to wait for the priest to come. Jose looks extremely glamourous in his dark blue suit. The tie with red in color really matches his cream shirt. How can i hide it from you. Obviously i selected the tie. When came Jesna in a white custom christian dress for wedding with flower hats on her forehead looks really like an ideal bride.
Around 12 o clock the function started. The priest in high grace started preaching about the importance of marriage and the moral of life from his and christ\'s views in a cool and attracting manner. I carefully listened him. To prove his side clear he takes notes from the Holy Bible which really interesting.
I feel really great in my companions marriage. Becoz never i have attended such a wonderful marriage. Many reasons underlying that:
Firstly the parishs old structure with great arts. Obviously its great in shape and proudiness. Only a small gathering was there take part in the marriage. Mostly all looks like spiritual. The church singers made their part well. Even with different tempo of music listens quite good. Wonderful sea breeze makes the ceremony memorable with its presence. Njarakkal is near to sea comes under the territory of Vypin islands. Most of the small childrens were carefully attending the prayers. Except one in black jeans. He wandered inside the parish and try to shoot all with his revolver. He makes many times drift in my concentration by hearing the priest. Else the atmosphere looks really calm and quite. With the marvellous sound of rains i feel the couples really blessed by the god and his grace. All the harmonies near my surrounding with beauty and kindness brings me on to the confluence of spirituality.
After the ceremony we visited Jesna\'s home where the food arranged. Delicious chicken biriyani with onions in curd and lemon pickle really wonderful for our tongues.
With great memories of an ideal marriage we started our return journey. While the same drizlings, which brings us here still follows with its variying faces..
